Joe Carr started a dynasty. Our founder, one of the most decorated amateurs in history, was the first Irishman to play in the Masters, Captain the R&A, and enter the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Luxury golfing adventures
Joe’s sons, Marty and John, joined the family business in 1989. Ever since, Carr Golf Travel has been creating award-winning golfing adventures and unforgettable events for guests in Ireland, Scotland, England, Australia, and New Zealand.
One group. All things golf
In 2010, we expanded to help golf venues grow and succeed. Combined, our commercial services and course maintenance divisions now manage operations at 28 facilities across Ireland and the UK.
New decade, bigger family
In 2020, Irish Golf Tours joined Carr Golf Group to offer guests even more access to the greatest links courses. Then, in 2024, we launched the groundbreaking Swingyard golf entertainment venue that took the Dublin leisure scene by storm.

Alex is responsible for growth strategies across the Carr Golf Group, bringing over 15 years of commercial leadership experience across rights holders, governing bodies, and professional teams. He plays a key role in identifying new opportunities and driving innovation in the evolving golf and leisure tourism sectors. A keen golfer and fly fisherman, Alex lives just a stone’s throw from his home course in Portmarnock.

Susan is the engine of the Carr Golf Travel team, leading a dedicated group of fulfilment executives who go above and beyond to ensure Carr Golf and Irish Golf Tours clients enjoy exceptional travel experiences and lasting memories. She also heads up our highly regarded events team, delivering some of the most memorable tournaments and bespoke experiences for our clients.

Having crafted countless bespoke itineraries, he’s built lasting client relationships with clients often calling it the best vacation they’ve ever had.

As Head of Operations across Carr Golf’s managed venues, Ger is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences, operational efficiency, and the profitable delivery of services for client clubs. He brings strong commercial insight from his time leading the sales teams at Carr Golf and the FAI, paired with a lifelong passion for golf. A former Elite Golf Scholar at UCD, Ger competed internationally and won the Silver Medal at the North of Ireland. He still enjoys his home fairways at County Louth GC.
